The Design Team provides civil engineering design and contract administration services to internal departments of the Napier City Council for a variety of projects, with a large component being road construction and minor works.
This position reports to a Senior Design Engineer within the Team, and is involved with road design, cost estimates and contract administration for some significant roading projects within Napier City.
Candidates will preferably hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering or NZCE (Civil) qualification and have 5 years practical relevant experience (Local Authority work an advantage).Other desirable attributes include:

good knowledge of NZ specifications and procedures, and understanding of contract documentation and administration
