The Kāpiti Coast District Council works in partnership with a range of people and groups to support strong, safe and inclusive communities.
The Council is looking for a Social Wellbeing Advisor who will work innovatively and collaboratively to improve the social wellbeing of individuals, families and communities on the Kāpiti Coast. The key focus area for this role at this stage involves working with young people and the various local youth services to make sure young people have opportunities to be involved in community life, in the decisions that affect them and in recreation, education and employment.
We are seeking someone with relevant qualifications and experience in social planning and/or community development, experience in developing and driving initiatives that involve collaboration with the community and the ability to be innovative around community processes and engagement. Experience in youth development would be an advantage.
