RESOURCE CONSENT PLANNER - WANAKA

 

 

With offices in Queenstown and Wanaka, Lakes Environmental provides Resource Management and Regulatory Services to the Queenstown Lakes District Council. 

 

We are seeking applications from enthusiastic planners who want a role in resource consent processing and working with our developers and our community.  We offer competitive salary packages, flexible working hours, subsidised health insurance, relocation assistance, a supportive working environment and the chance to live in, and be part of, New Zealand’s premier alpine resort.

 

The resource management issues are interesting and challenging.  In terms of consent numbers the Council is among the top ten in NZ.  Key issues include development in sensitive landscapes, subdivision design, large-scale visitor accommodation complexes, urban design, adventure tourism and heritage.

 

The successful applicant will need to have:

·               A tertiary qualification in planning / resource management

·               A commitment to quality and customer service

·               Excellent written and oral communication skills and

·               The ability to work in a team environment.

In addition they are likely to have experience in a resource management field.
