COMPLIANCE OFFICER (BUILDING)

The Grey District Council is looking for a Compliance officer to undertake a range of compliance and regulatory functions predominantly relating to the Building Act 2004. Situated in the Compliance team, you will be responsible for providing functional compliance support to the Building Department and working closely with Building Inspectors, property owners and industry.
To be successful in this position you will have:
· A solution driven approach to compliance issues.
· A good working knowledge of the Building Act 2004 and
enforcement processes;
· a current driver’s licence;
· good people skills;
Ideally, you are already working in a compliance area and have experience in Building Act related enforcement. However candidates with other Building Act or other local authority compliance experience will be considered.
