This role will be responsible for the promotion of regional policy within district plans, structure plans, strategies and major development proposals.
The Policy Implementation Group provides quality assessments, submissions and evidence to council hearings and the presentation of expert witness evidence and assistance in mediation processes for the Environment Court on a wide variety of stimulating urban, rural, transport and infrastructure issues.
To be successful in this role you will be a tertiary qualified senior planner with a minimum of six years relevant professional experience. You will have a thorough understanding of the Resource Management Act and other local government legislation. It is essential you have highly developed analytical thinking, excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
